George Carlin

I saw George Carlin perform in 1976 and again in 2007. As he got older, he got more and more relevant; he cut right to the bone, never caring who he tweaked, using his perceptive wit, verbal mastery and impeccable logic to skewer all the BS in society and tell us the truth in a shockingly funny way.
Here is his last interview.
George Carlin quotes:
The bigger they are, the worse they smell.
If you can’t beat them, arrange to have them beaten.
Most people are not particularly good at anything.
By and large, language is a tool for concealing the truth.
Ever wonder about those people who spend $2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
When you’re born you get a ticket to the freak show. When you’re born in America, you get a front row seat.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I’m just not close enough to get the job done.
There ought to be at least one round state.
Inside every cynical person, there is a disappointed idealist.
If a man smiles all the time he’s probably selling something that doesn’t work.
Honesty may be the best policy, but it’s important to remember that apparently, by elimination, dishonesty is the second-best policy.
The only good thing to come out of religion was the music.
George Washington’s brother, Lawrence, was the Uncle of Our Country.
If a parsley farmer is sued, can they garnish his wages?
I think it’s the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately.
We’re all f***ed, it helps to remember that.
